First UK Nhow hotel set to open next summer

NH Hotel Group's first Nhow-branded hotel in the UK is due to open in summer 2019.

Willmott Dixon Interiors has won the £19m contract to deliver the hotel in London's Shoreditch, which The Caterer originally reported on three years ago.

The company has been tasked with fitting out the nine-storey, Foster + Partners-designed mixed-use development called 250 City Road to create a 190-bedroom hotel including a restaurant, bar, gym and meeting rooms.

Willmott Dixon Interiors will take the new building from shell and core to completion and is working with project and cost managers Jones Lang LaSalle.

NH Hotels' portfolio currently includes just one UK property, the NH London Kensington. The hotel group rejected an "inadequate" merger proposal by Barceló Group earlier this year and Hyatt Hotels backtracked on interest it had shown to acquire the group after Minor International revealed it owned 44% of it.
