Uber reportedly in talks to acquire Deliveroo

Uber is reportedly in early talks to acquire Deliveroo, in a bid to gain dominance in the delivery market across Europe.

Any bid for Deliveroo would need to be significantly higher than it last valuation of more than $2b (£1.5b), according to reports by Bloomberg.

Sources have told Bloomberg that talks could collapse due to a desire to remain independent among Deliveroo and its investors.

Deliveroo operates in 200 cities, mostly in Europe.

Uber and Deliveroo have been contacted for comment.
