Shake Shack’s UK brand operator Diverse Dining ltd posts £7.7m loss

Diverse Dining Ltd, the UK brand operator for US burger outlet Shake Shack, has posted a £7.7m loss in its end of year results for 2017.

The firm, which operates a range of restaurants including the Shake Shack brand, saw loss before tax rise by £3.2m from the £4.5m loss reported in 2016.

However revenue more than doubled – from £10.7m in 2016 to £21.3m in 2017.

In his assessment of the report, director Bassam Assad said the results were “within expectations”.

Diverse Dining Ltd is overseen by parent company Assaad Food and Beverage, an overseas firm based in Lebanon. There are currently nine Shake Shack sites operating in the UK – eight of which are in London.
