Mayfair restaurant damaged by fire

A restaurant on Curzon Street in London's Mayfair has been damaged by a fire that reached third floor flats above.

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters from London Fire Brigade were called at 9.17am. Fire crews from Soho, Lambeth, Chelsea and other surrounding fire stations attended the scene and the fire was under control at 10.47am.

The restaurant's extraction system from ground to third floor has been damaged by the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
