KRO Hospitality acquires Asha’s restaurant in Manchester

KRO Hospitality has acquired Asha’s restaurant in Manchester, with plans to incorporate a new 49-bedroom boutique hotel.

The 100-cover restaurant occupies two floors of 47 Peter Street, which KRO Hospitality acquired the freehold for earlier this year.

The Manchester-based hospitality group plans to convert the top two floors of the building into a hotel, planned to open in 2019.

Owner of KRO Hospitality, Kim Eivind Krohn, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Asha’s in to our expanding portfolio in Manchester. Asha’s is a much-loved brand in Manchester, adored by food fans and celebrities alike.

“We’re progressing well with our exciting plans for 47 Peter Street, and I believe the combination of a stunning new hotel and the culinary excellence and attention to detail of Asha’s together in one building will be a fantastic draw.”

General manager, Helena Doskocz, will continue to manage the restaurant with executive head chef, Ashwani Rangta.

Asha’s Manchester opened in 2015 and is one of 17 global restaurants operating under the brand .

KRO Hospitality also owns Canal Street’s Velvet Hotel and neighbouring restaurant Mr White’s English Chophouse in Manchester.
