Eric Snaith to open second Norfolk fish restaurant

Chef Eric Snaith is to open a second fish and chip restaurant and takeaway in Holt, Norfolk, in spring 2019.

Snaith, who is also chef-patron of the three-AA-rosette Titchwell Manor in Norfolk, will open the new site following the success of the first Eric's Fish & Chips in Thornham, which opened in 2014.

He said: "We have always been a huge admirer of Holt with its beautiful market town, thriving business community and its continued popularity with locals and tourists alike. We have viewed many potential sites across Norfolk over the past few years, but when we stepped into the premises on, ironically, Fish Hill, we knew it was the perfect home for the next Eric's Fish & Chips.

"The site formerly operated as an Italian restaurant, so we have brought in renowned Interior Designer Shaun Clarkson to help us undertake a full renovation. Whilst there will be similarities in the design to Thornham, we will be allowing Holt its own identity while still respecting the fantastic existing character property features."

The 35-cover restaurant will operate alongside a takeaway with a traditional offering as well as lighter options, wine and local craft beers.
