Ramada Encore to get a rebrand

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts' midscale Ramada Encore brand is getting a rebrand including a new design for its properties.

Wyndham, which has more than 9,000 hotels and 20 brands, described the rebrand as "fresh, approachable and vibrant".

The new brand identity includes a redesigned logo by London-based agency Octopus Group, and new designs for guest rooms and common spaces by Harrison. The new design features a deconstructed bar area on entry to welcome guests, and different seating options such as multi-tiered benches and semi-private booths.

Ramada Encore by Wyndham has 54 hotels in 20 countries around the world, including in Bournemouth, Leicester, Newcastle and Doncaster, with the Belfast Ramada Encore transitioning to the Ramada by Wyndham brand.

The brand was created in the late 1990s as a limited service midscale hotel brand designed for business and leisure travellers. New hotels opening from 2019 will start to integrate features of the new designs.

Lisa Checchio, chief marketing officer for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said: "Whether it's a business trip or a weekend break, we know that for travellers every minute counts. That's why we wanted the brand identity for Ramada Encore to reflect its position as a hotel for guests on the go."

The ‘by Wyndham' tagline is being added to all of the group's brands and the UK has been described as "a top priority" for expansion.
