Independents Signorelli and Figo to launch in Stratford's IQL development
Independent food and drink purveyors Signorelli and Figo have been confirmed for Stratford's £2.4bn International Quarter London (IQL) development, joining the recently opened Tonkotsu and Pret a Manger.
Artisan Italian bakery Signorelli will expand into the location, taking on a 1,146 sq ft site to accompany its primary site in Stratford's East Village.
Head baker and owner Alberto Rosimi said: "We joined the Stratford adventure three years ago and our business has since gone from strength to strength with support from the landlords Lendlease and LCR. We are keen to continue our growth within this fast-developing area, and are privileged to bring our ‘made-in-E20' artisan products to tenants such as TfL, FCA and Unicef."
Toni Manconi, the man behind East London independent restaurants Venerdi, Bella Vita and three-site chain Pivaz, will also launch Figo at the IQL site. The restaurant has taken on a 3,024 sq ft lot.
Manconi said: "IQL provides a unique and lively local landscape in the heart of East London, making it the perfect location for us to launch our new concept where we can successfully grow our customer base and reach."
