Careys Manor GM Sunil Kanjanghat departs

Careys Manor hotel general manager Sunil Kanjanghat is to leave his role at the end of this year.

Kanjanghat, who was born and raised in Chennai in southern India, first worked at Careys Manor in the New Forest as restaurant manager in 2006 before leaving to become operations manager at sister hotel the Montagu Arms in 2009, which is also part of the Greenclose Hotels group.

He returned to Careys Manor in 2017 as general manager and is now moving on to a new role, which is as yet undisclosed.

James Hiley-Jones, managing director of Greenclose Hotels said: "After 12 years our wonderful general manager Sunil Kanjanghat is moving on to pastures new in January, leaving his role at Careys Manor & SenSpa."

Hiley-Jones is currently in the process of recruiting a successor.

Commenting on his departure, Kanjanghat said: "It has been a fabulous journey working for a good leader James Hiley-Jones and the privately-owned Greenclose Hotels. I am moving towards my personal goal and career prospects, which I am very excited about but saddened to leave this great team. It is a great opportunity and a good company to work for."
