Chef Oliver Farrar launches crowdfunding bid to expand catering company

Former MasterChef: The Professionals and Roux Scholarship finalist Oliver Farrar has launched a crowdfunding campaign in a bid to expand his Yorkshire-based catering company.

Farrar hopes to expand his company Olli Cooks with the addition of a food truck and expansion into masterclasses and private tuition.

He hopes to raise £35,000 and is offering rewards including invitations to his pop-up launch night and private catered events.

Ferrar started his career as an apprentice chef at the Durham Ox in Crayke, North Yorkshire. He went on to work at Claridges hotel in London before taking positions under under Joël Robuchon, Gordon Ramsay and Tom Aikens.

He was a Masterchef: The Professionals finalist in 2011 and a Roux Scholarship finalist in 2013.
