Construction begins on Courtyard by Marriott Inverness

Construction of a new 130-bedroom hotel in Inverness has begun, marking the brand's first foray into the city.

Owned and developed by Molo Hotels, the multimillion-pound modular property will be operated by RBH when it opens later this year.

Located within Inverness Airport Business Park, the hotel will feature meeting and fitness facilities, a bar and a bistro.

Polcom Construction has commenced work on the hotel's ground floor using traditional construction methods while the bedrooms are being built in its factory in Gdansk, Poland, before they are transported to the hotel site for the final build.

The new Courtyard by Marriott Inverness Airport is the third partnership between RBH and Molo Hotels in the past two years, after Courtyard by Marriott Luton Airport and Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh West.

Andrew Robb, chief business development officer at RBH, said: "The start of works on site comes at an exciting time for us, as we kick off a year which will see us undertake more hotel openings than ever before. We look forward to seeing the hotel take shape, and working with Molo Hotels and Marriott to open our doors to guests later this year."
