Indian barbecue concept Masala & Coal is scheduled to open its doors on Ruislip’s West End Road on 13 April.
The restaurant includes dish design from MasterChef 2018 semi-finalist Nisha Parmar, and features combinations of central American and southern US barbecue cuisine with Indian spices and flavours. Dishes include pani puri shots, nacho poppadums, Bombay burritos and Bollywood burgers.
Meanwhile mixologist Julian Zefi will be heading up the wet offering with a dynamic list of drinks along with custom-made cocktails.
Sandy Bhambra, founder of Masala & Coal, said: “Our aim is to redefine Indian cuisine in a fun, friendly and funky atmosphere, whether it be food for your brood, after-work drinks or a celebration in the exclusive private area. My mission is to make sure the restaurant makes diners feel warm, welcomed and wanting more.
“The menu offering is vital in making Masala & Coal a unique hotspot and we have worked extremely hard with a number of consultants, one being Nisha Parmar, in creating dishes that offer something different to your typical curry house.”
Nisha Parmar added: “Masala & Coal is all about blending modern food with Indian tradition and that is something I have always been passionate about. I am so excited to be on-board working with the team in developing dishes that diners will absolutely love.”
