The Stratford Brasserie to open in east London's Manhattan Loft Gardens next month
All-day dining restaurant the Stratford Brasserie is set to launch in east London's Manhattan Loft Gardens in May.
The site will be overseen by head chef Ben Harrington, formerly of Soho House Group and Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's. His menu will focus on light sharing dishes, including schnitzel, risotto and burgers alongside chopped Cornish bream, smoked crème fraîche, pickled celery and rye; and preserved lemon and oregano whole roasted chicken. The breakfast offering will include homemade crumpets and Acai bowls, while lunch will include pizza cooked in the restaurant's outdoor wood oven.
Harrington said: "We welcome guests to eat with us whatever the time of day, for any occasion, whether it's to share a pizza and a glass of wine with friends, or for dinner with the family - we really want to be a home away from home, not only for people staying in the building but for people from the local area too."
Manhattan Loft Gardens is the brain-child of developer Harry Handelsman, who also worked on the Chiltern Firehouse and the St Pancras Hotel. It will also comprise the Stratford hotel, three sky gardens and a private club as well as fine dining site Allegra. The latter, designed to be a destination restaurant, will feature former Chiltern Firehouse head chef Patrick Powell behind the pass.
Handelsman said: "The Stratford Brasserie will be the first welcome as guests and residents enter Manhattan Loft Gardens. It's a place for locals to meet and dine as an alternative to the Westfield chains.
