Record store offshoot Wilderness Bar and Kitchen to launch in Manchester's Northern Quarter
The operators of Manchester's Wilderness Record Store will launch new hospitality focussed sister site Wilderness Bar and Kitchen in the city's Northern Quarter in mid-June.
The firm has taken over the former site of cafe-bar Folk and Soul to create the two-floor bar and restaurant. It follows on from the record store near Withington high street, which incorporates a cafe as well as stocking a range of beers, wines and it's own Wilderness gin and tonics.
The site will be overseen by Dan Morris, former group manager of Trof and operations director for Cottonopolis, directors Bart Murphy and Mat Lake of Junk Yard Golf Club and Lyndon Higginson, director for Liars Group and Junkyard Golf Club.
Morris said "We have been working hard on this new concept for some time and believe we have now found the perfect site for us.
"We plan on opening mid-June and have recruited what we consider to be some of the best young F&B talent in the U.K to help us create what we hope will be a great addition to Manchester's hospitality scene. We will be releasing news and official opening dates closer to the summer."
