Rogue City Hotels gets green light for 57-bed Cambridge flagship

Rogue City Hotels has secured planning permission for a 57 bed, all-suite site in central Cambridge as the firm looks to establish its flagship in the East Anglian city.

The Hobson, a luxury boutique hotel, will feature a private dining area and an atrium-style restaurant at its core. Based on the major thoroughfare of St Andrew's Street, the hotel is named for the building's former owner Thomas Hobson, a notable 16th-century carrier and stablekeeper.

The new location builds on the firm's first site, Scotland's five-star Dunalastair Hotel Suites.

Nassar Khalil, director of hotels and leisure at Henley and chief executive of Rogue City Hotels, said: "We are extremely excited to have secured planning consent for our next hotel in the heart of one of the UK's most enchanting cities.

"As with all our hotels, our focus is to provide guests with design-led luxury accommodation, exceptional service, comfort and convenience, and curate a special relationship with the local area. These summed up the key attributes of a Rogue City Hotel."
