Prince Akatoki London to open in September

StayWell Holdings (a subsidiary of Japan's Prince Hotels) has confirmed the Arch London will relaunch as the first hotel under the group's Prince Akatoki brand in September.

The property will undergo a £3m transformation across its public areas and all 82 bedrooms before relaunching under the new luxury brand on 16 September.

It will also have an East-West fusion restaurant and offer a Japanese tea service, as well as a bar focusing on Japanese whisky with a selection of sake, spirits and cocktails.

Masahiko Koyama, president of Prince Hotels, said: "This new global brand name bares our flagship brand ‘the Prince' of Prince Hotels and aims to raise the awareness of Prince Hotels by making full use of the brand value of Prince Hotels in Japan. Akatoki is an old expression of Akatuki, meaning sunrise, before dawn, a new beginning, and speaks to a new time for Prince Hotels and Resorts, reflecting our international growth of the business."

The group acquired the Arch London in November 2018 from the Bejerano family's AB Hotels group. The Prince Akatoki London will be the first of many worldwide.
