Ex-Pollen Street Social chef Marcus Rohlén takes the helm at Frenchie Covent Garden

Pollen Street Social and Corrigan's alumnus Marcus Rohlén has been appointed head chef of Frenchie Covent Garden.

The chef will lead the London outpost of Gregory Marchand's Frenchie empire serving modern French cuisine.

Rohlén, originally from Sweden worked as sous chef of Richard Corrigan's Corrigan's before joining Jason Atherton's Pollen Street Social where he progressed from junior sous chef to senior chef.

In 2016 he became head chef of Atherton's Social Wine and Tapas overseeing a brigade of 10 going on to launch King's Social House in St Moritz, Switzerland in November 2018.

French chef Marchand launched the first Frenchie on Rue de Nil, Paris, in 2009 and opened the London outpost in 2016.
