Nutshell

Modern Iranian restaurant Nutshell has opened on London's St Martin's Lane, showcasing home-cooked Iranian recipes with a modern twist.

The owners have worked with Jonas Stern (formerly of Pollen Street Social) to create a drinks list inspired by sweet sherbet, a drink offered to visitors in Iran. This can be seen in cocktails flavoured with syrups, spices and herbs, such as the Silk Road gimlet, made of Tanqueray Rangpur gin, green cardamom and Persian lime cordial.

The design of the restaurant, which takes its name from the pistachio orchards farmed by co-owner Mohammad Paknejad's family, has been influenced by Persian patterns and a palette of greens and pinks.
