Mounties put rattlesnake on the menu for London


EXCHANGE students visiting Thames Valley University from New Brunswick Community College in Canada donned what has become known as Canada’s national dress to serve a banquet of North American dishes.



Dressed in Royal Canadian Mounted Police uniforms, the students prepared and served lunches on two days and a banquet including dishes such as loin of bison, rattlesnake soup and fiddlehead soup.



lTen students from Brunel College of Arts and Technology, Bristol, will spend this summer working in Canada and the USA on a work placement scheme. Nine of the students, studying for the BTEC Higher National Diploma in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management, joined the course from local schools. They requested work placements in North America, which was arranged for them by the college.
