The Carpenters Arms at Metherell, Cornwall, has been sold by owners Margaret and Mark Vanstone through licensed property specialists Stonesmith of Exeter.

The new owners of the leasehold-interest business are Karen Scott and Dean Miles.

MIles is an experienced chef, having worked at the Headland Hotel in Newquay and the Island Hotel, Tresco. One of his aims at The Carpenters Arms is to build up the restaurant trade.

The property includes a locals bar, a lounge bar with 44 seats, a first floor double en-suite letting room, and three-bedroom owners' accommodation.

The Carpenters Arms was sold off an asking price of £65,000.
