Ex-radio presenter buys Devon inn

It's a first-time pub purchase for Toby Bennett from Hampshire, who used to be a radio presenter on the Wave and Gemini stations which broadcast to the Exeter and Torbay areas.

The freehouse is a former coaching inn believed to date back to the 15th century, and retains a number of period details such as open log fires, inglenooks and exposed beams.

It is next to the church in the village of Molland, near South Molton.

The freehouse, which makes 60% of its turnover from food, provides four separate small bar areas, a 22-seat restaurant, three en-suite letting bedrooms, and one-bedroom owners' accommodation

The Exeter office of Christie + Co sold the brand new, free-of-tie leasehold to run the pub for 12-15 years off a guide premium of £50,000.
