Former employee buys Devon's Mountain Inn

A former employee is the new owner of the Mountain Inn country freehouse in the small village of Lutton, Devon.

Jane Olwen, from the nearby village of Cornwood, bought the inn's freehold with her parents off a guide price of £425,000.

Former owners Dr Amanda Dixon and Derek Wilson have decided to pursue their equestrian interests.

The pub occupies an elevated position in Lutton, which is four miles from the market town of Ivybridge on the southern tip of Dartmoor.

The property in Old Chapel Road has a public bar with various dining areas, a children's room, a separate one-bedroom flat, two-bedroom owners' accommodation, a private garden, a beer garden, and a car park

The freehold was sold through the Exeter office of Christie + Co off an asking price of £425,000.
