Glasgow's Saracen and Brothers Bars bought from administrators

A Glasgow-based pub company has bought two traditional community pubs in Possilpark, north of Glasgow, from administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers.

LSM Leisure, the previous owner of the Saracen Bar and the Brothers Bar and Avon Lounge, went into administration in August 2005.

Property agent Creevy LLH achieved sales prices in excess of the £475,000 asked for the Saracen Bar and the £225,000 sought for the Brothers Bar.

The Saracen is a corner tenement pub with a public bar that can seat 44 and a lounge bar with seating for up to 70 people.

The Brothers Bar comprises a public bar, a lounge bar that can seat 55 people, and the Avon Bar, which can seat 126 people and has its own separate entertainment licence.

The existing family management teams are staying on to run the bars.
