Gothic guest house sold

The Ashmount guest house in Haworth, West Yorkshire has sold for close to an asking price of £595,000. The property, originally home to the Bronte's physician, was built in 1870 and retains much of its original gothic interior. The hotel boasts six letting rooms, and owner's accommodation comprising a sitting-room, morning room, study and three double bedrooms. The new owner is Gill Crennell. The agent was Colliers Robert Barry, acting for Stephen and Jennifer Whitehead.
