A hotel and hydrotherapy spa form this week's star property. Set in the heart of Strathpeffer in Ross-shire, the MacKay's Hotel Spa & Travel Lodge trades as a tourist business to the pre-booked touring market.

The hotel features 56 en suite letting bedrooms, a 100-cover restaurant, including a conservatory area, and three lounges. In 2003, the hydrotherapy leisure suite was added to the hotel. Facilities here include a swim-jet concept pool and hydro-massage spa pool.

The adjoining Spa Lodge facilities include a large L-shaped function room and lounge, with room for 100 guests/delegates, plus staff/owner accommodation comprising three separate two-bedroom flats.
