New owner for Somerset village pub

The Swan at Kingston near Taunton has changed hands for the first time in 11 years.

New owner Trevor Smith has reversed the pub's "no children" policy and employed a chef to launch a new menu of pub grub-style food with a house specials board and Sunday roasts.

The business also incorporates lawned trade gardens with seating for 30, a 20-bay car park, a storage barn, garage/workshop and private gardens.

The owners'accommodation provides five bedrooms along with a lounge, bathroom and office.

Stonesmith of Exeter sold the leasehold off an asking price of £85,000 on behalf of Babs and Colin Loader, who have run the business for the past 11 years.
