Plough sells for nearly £1m

A 16th century hotel has changed hands for close to the asking price of £1m. The Plough at Clanfield offers 12 bedrooms and has features in a number of top guides, including the Good Hotel Guide. New owner is Martin Agius, who also owns the Fishers Restaurant in Oxford. Agius plans to specialise in game and fish at the hotel's 40-cover restaurant. Agent was Colliers Robert Barry.
