Pub managers buy Punch lease in Barbridge

Pub manager David Evans and his wife has bought a new Punch lease on the Olde Barbridge Inn which sits alongside the Shropshire Union Canal in the Cheshire village of Barbridge.

The new owners previously managed the Railway pub in Woodley, Stockport.

The pub is one of 720 former managed Spirit pubs that Christie + Co has offered to the lease market since 2006 and it has traded as a Two for One dining pub..

The Olde Barbridge Inn, which is three miles north of Nantwich, has a 40-seat restaurant overlooking the canalside moorings, a lounge bar, a public bar, and a games room.

It also provides four-bedroom owners' accommodation, a large beer garden bordering the canal, and two car parks.

The Manchester office of Christie + Co sold the lease off a guide price of £69,000. Annual rent has been set at £56,000.
