Punch buys Norfollk village pub

The West End freehouse and restaurant in the village of Feltwell, near Thetford Forest in Norfolk, has been bought by Punch Taverns.

Proprietors Mr and Mrs Ewen are retiring from the licensed trade.

Pub operating company Punch bought the freehold business for an undisclosed figure.

Agent Christie + Co was seeking offers in excess of £450,000.

The West End draws trade from an area including nearby Thetford, Downham Market, Brandon and neighbouring villages, as well as the airbases at Lakenheath and Mildenhall.

The pub comprises two bars, a 50-seat restaurant, three-bedroom owner's accommodation, beer garden, patio and car park.
