Rumwell hoteliers buy the pub across the road

The Coles family, which owns the Rumwell Manor hotel in the Somerset hamlet of Rumwell, have bought the pub opposite their hotel.

The food-led Rumwell Inn is the only pub in the hamlet and sits on the A38 road two miles from Taunton.

It comprises a pub bar and snug, a 64-seat restaurant, a beer garden, and five-bedroom owners' accommodation.

The Coles family has owned the 20-bedroom, three-star Georgian country house hotel across the road from the inn since 1991.

The Exeter office of Christie + Co sold the leasehold off a guide price of £159,500 on behalf of Jim and Julie White.
