Sale of lock-up bar in Fife fishing village

The Bowman family has snapped up the Station Buffet Bar, a lock-up bar in the fishing village of Elie in Fife.

The terraced property, which comprises a lounge bar and a games lounge, sits on the corner of the village High Street and overlooks the Firth of Forth.

The Bowman family, which also owns the Crows Nest in Anstruther down the coast, paid in excess of the £200,000 guide price for the freehold.

The Edinburgh office Christie + Co acted on behalf of Ian and Elaine Melville, who have owned the bar since November 2003.
