S&N sells Cheshire inn to Decker's Restaurants

Scottish & Newcastle Pub Enterprises has sold the Rope & Anchor country inn and freehouse in Dunham Massey, Cheshire, to Decker's Restaurants.

The country inn is in the middle of the Dunham Estate close to Dunham Massey National Trust Park and near the Bridgwater Canal. It has a prime trading position surrounded by affluent settlements such as Altrincham, Bowdon and Lymm.

The ground floor has three main trading areas, including a main bar that will seat 40 customers, an 18-seat library with brick fireplace and another 26-seat bar space.

A galleried area on the first floor provides more seating and dining for 20 customers, while the three-bedroom owners' flat is spread across the first and second floors. .

Outside, the Rope & Anchor has parking for 32 cars, a beer garden and children's play area to the rear, and two outbuildings used for ice-cream sales and storage.

The Manchester office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold off a guide price of £750,000.
