Traditional Cornish inn for sale

The traditional Cornishman Inn in Tintagel, Cornwall, has been placed on the market after 40 years in the same family.

The property has been owned by the Knight family since 1965 and was converted to an inn 27 years ago. Jeremy Knight has been running the business since the retirement of his parents but now, with a new addition to the family, he has decided to leave the licensed trade.

The family is offering the business for sale on a leasehold basis, while retaining the freehold.

Features include a lounge bar, public bar and snug, conservatory, 10-letting bedrooms, and three-bedroom owner's accommodation.

The Cornishman Inn is available through the Exeter office of licensed property agent, Christie + Co, which is seeking £215,000 for a free-of-tie lease with a 15-year term.
