Service is taken to the next level at this iconic London hotel
From grand chandeliers to Champagne, 10-carat gilding, spectacular flower displays, tuxedos and the ambient sound of live piano, beauty is woven into the fabric of the everyday at The Ritz London.
When César Ritz opened the grand doors to the hotel 119 years ago, it quickly became the embodiment of excellence and elegance in its architecture, design, service and detail, creating an environment that is not just luxurious for guests, but one that has become a daily inspiration for its colleagues.
Working at The Ritz London comes with a backstage pass to unforgettable moments, with every day offering a new opportunity to learn. For example, skills like anticipating needs before they’re voiced, managing high-stakes situations with grace, and communicating with people from all corners of the world reach beyond any job description, teaching the value of emotional intelligence, the sharpest possible attention to detail, and what it means to become synonymous with the words ‘luxury’ and ‘glamour.’
Working alongside a team of experienced and intuitive professionals, it feels like being part of a perfectly choreographed dance where everyone knows their cues and they’re ready to show the next person the steps and the rhythm. From this finely tuned harmony comes something more than service – moments of connection, care and surprise that stay with guests long after they leave.
Just ask the people who’ve made it happen – we asked our employees to tell us when they truly felt they were able to bring magic to a guest:
Clare: “We were hosting a wedding for a guest who absolutely loved our Champagne dinners, and during the reception we were able to surprise the bride and groom with a Champagne sabrage by our head of wine and beverage, which was a delight for them!”

Giacomo: “We had a beloved guest of many years whom we all knew well. One day, he arrived into the lobby to join us for breakfast at The Ritz Restaurant. In the time it took him to walk down the long gallery, three of us worked together to prepare his tea and table exactly how he liked it (starting with diluting lemon in hot water), so when he stepped foot inside the restaurant, everything was there waiting for him. He was so delighted he tossed his newspaper on the chair and just laughed.”
Sachin: “The most magical to me is that our guests will come to us first and foremost, under whichever circumstances, because they know they’re in our safe hands.”
Crafting these moments of magic is not just about following the expected, but rather having the empowerment to go beyond expectations, to think creatively and to surprise and delight our guests. At The Ritz London, every day is an opportunity to create something extraordinary.
Alongside these benefits are competitive salaries with excellent service charge packages, instant reward and recognition schemes, and employee discounts for The Ritz London products.
