The all-day café and bar will open in London’s Temple in mid-June
Soho House founder Nick Jones has partnered with former River Café head chef Danny Bohan to open Café Clement in London’s Temple later this month.
Launching on 16 June, the all-day café and bar will serve dishes inspired by Bohan’s 25 years’ experience working alongside industry greats Rowley Leigh, Rose Gray and Ruth Rogers.
The June sample menu suggested the likes of Spatchcocked chicken (speck, green beans and shallot vinaigrette), Dorset crab (marinated French tomatoes, aioli) and slow cooked pork shoulder casseroles.
According to press materials, Café Clement will offer bar seating, tables, booths, a south-facing terrace and garden square.
News of Café Clement follows the announcement of the 90-room, 15-suite St Clement hotel within 180 The Thames, which is believed to have soft launched.
In an interview with FT HTSI, Jones described his hotel as the baby of Claridge’s and Chiltern Firehouse.
The St Clement hotel marks Jones’ first independent hotel project since stepping down as chief executive of Soho House in 2022.
The hotel falls under the wider 180 Quarter development, which is being led by Mark Wadhwa and Tim Robinson from the Vinyl Factory, with creative direction by Alex Eagle.
The 180 Quarter includes 180 the Strand, which is home to Soho House’s two-floor 180 House members’ club, and 180 the Thames River Lofts and Apartments – all 140 units of which will be fully serviced by the St Clement hotel.
The development also houses the 180 Studios cultural centre, Mediterranean restaurant Toklas, two-Michelin-starred Ikoyi, Jones’ Corner Shop and chef Matteo Zielonka’s pasta kitchen.
Jones founded Soho House in London in 1995 to act as a hub for people working in the creative industries.
