Greenwich’s El Alquimista combines modern British cuisine with Peruvian flavours and Indian influences
At the heart of historic Greenwich, a new culinary journey starts.
El Alquimista opens its doors at the end of the summer, just as the autumn breathes its golden light across the city. This unique restaurant is the vision of Grupo Mijael Limited under the lead of Peruvian chef Walter Pineda, who brings with him a passion for transformation, both in food and in experience.
Chef Walter Pineda began his culinary journey at the prestigious La Pont de la Tour in London, later honing his craft at exclusive venues including VIP events at Ascot Racecourse with Le Nôtre, Maze in Mayfair and head chef at the iconic British Museum in London under celebrated culinary foundations of the French cuisine and techniques. With over two decades of experience, he brings a transformative approach to the kitchen, merging tradition with innovation.

Combining modern British cuisine with the vibrant soul of Peruvian flavours and Indian influences, El Alquimista offers a bold, elegant fusion that respects the deep heritage of its surroundings while reimagining what a contemporary dining experience can be.
From lucuma sauces to spiced meats and seasonal British ingredients elevated through ancient Peruvian techniques, every dish tells a story of connection between continents, cultures, and communities.
Taste the magic rooted in tradition, inspired by alchemy.
El Alquimista invites Londoners to experience the ritual of reconnection, where food awakens memory, spirit and joy.
