Tender: Kielder Castle café concession

Forestry England is seeking an experienced operator to run the café concession at Kielder Castle. This opportunity is offered by way of a lease agreement of up to 10 years.

The café is located on the ground floor of Kielder Castle and is currently undergoing a full refurbishment, scheduled for completion in August 2026. Once complete, the space will provide indoor seating for up to 60 covers, with additional outdoor seating to the front of the castle. A takeaway hatch opening onto the courtyard will support the sale of ice-creams, drinks and snacks for visitors on the go.

The appointed operator will be responsible for delivering a high-quality café service to the general public, as well as fitting out the kitchen to support their proposed food and beverage offering.
