Shortlist revealed for 2026 Menu of the Year Catey

Four restaurants have been shortlisted for the 2026 Menu of the Year Catey, which will be presented at the glittering awards ceremony on 7 July.

Those who made the shortlist were selected by a panel of industry judges from Menuwatch articles that ran from May 2025 to April 2026.
 
The shortlisted restaurants are:

DakaDaka, London

Food Leigh on Sea, Essex

Shwen Shwen, Sevenoaks, Kent

Skof, Manchester

Nominees were judged on innovation within their price bracket; good use of seasonal produce; creativity of the dishes being served; careful marrying of textures and flavours of the component ingredients; value for money; and whether the dishes would tempt the judges to dine there.

The winner will remain a secret until the award is presented at the Cateys, sponsored by Square, on 7 July 2026 at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.
