Andrea Coro has been promoted to executive chef at the Rosewood London in Holborn.
He was most recently executive sous chef at the hotel, where he led a brigade of 80 chefs.
Coro first joined the hotel in 2019 as a senior sous chef in the Mirror Room restaurant.
Prior to his career at the Rosewood London, he worked at Hotel Café Royal in London’s Mayfair, where he progressed from chef de partie to head chef in five years, as well at Le Baudelaire restaurant in Paris and luxury hotels across Italy.
Coro said: “I am deeply honoured to take on this role and continue contributing to Rosewood London’s exceptional culinary reputation. I look forward to working with our talented team to drive innovation and excellence while maintaining the luxury standards our guests expect.”
Tessa Gorman, managing director of Rosewood London, added: “I am thrilled to share the news of Andrea’s well-deserved promotion to executive chef. Throughout his time with us, Andrea has made an incredible impact, from supporting numerous global hotel openings as part of our taskforce to building and mentoring a strong culinary team. Known for his positive, can-do attitude and his collaborative spirit, Andrea embodies the very best of our culture, and we are excited to see him step into this new role.”
His appointment follows the departure of Nokz Majozi from the Pie Room at Holborn Dining Room, which was announced last month.
Majozi took over as head pie maker from chef Calum Franklin at the Pie Room in 2022, having worked closely with Franklin to develop the project at the five-red-AA-star Rosewood London hotel.
