Chefs Tommy Banks, Elly Wentworth, Luke Ahearne and Stevie Parle all had restaurants join the guide’s listings
The Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland has added 18 new restaurants to its online listings.
The guide updates its recommendations each month based on its inspectors’ travels, with any additions highlighted by a ‘New’ symbol.
It will not be confirmed if any of the restaurants will receive a further star, Bib Gourmand or other award until the launch of the 2027 guide.
Pubs were particularly prominent in April’s additions, with seven making their debut, including chef Elly Wentworth’s the Refectory at Fowlescombe Farm in Dartmoor, praised for “cooking up fresh, produce-led dishes as well as leading the personable service”.
The Jolly Gardeners in Chester, run by brothers Ben and Joe Wright, was recognised for its “proper pub character”, serving “stripped-back and hearty dishes”.
In London, Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant Fan, led by chef Coco Sasaki, was described as offering “original and invigorating dishes”.
There were also listings for Tommy Banks’ General Tarleton pub in Ferrensby, Mad Restaurants’ Japanese venue Moi in London’s Soho, Luke Ahearne and Stevie Parle’s Fitzrovia Italian restaurant Motorino and Grantley Hall hotel’s Grantley Arms in North Yorkshire.
