The hotel and property development company also owns the InterContinental London – the O2
The Arora Group has acquired its second central London property, Novotel London West in Hammersmith.
It comes roughly nine years after the hotel and property development company took full control of the InterContinental London – the O2 in a bid to strengthen its city centre conference and events offering.
Arora purchased the 630-bedroom Novotel London West in partnership with Deva Capital, an investment arm of Banco Santander’s Alternative Investments division.
The property features one of the largest conference and events facilities in the UK, providing capacity for up to 3,000 delegates across 33 flexible meeting spaces.
Surinder Arora, founder and executive chairman of the Arora Group, said: “In partnership with Deva Capital, we are delighted to welcome Novotel London West into the Arora portfolio. This acquisition reflects our continued commitment to expanding our presence in key locations across the UK, particularly in central London. The hotel’s exceptional meetings and events infrastructure aligns perfectly with our strategic focus in this space, and we look forward to building on its success.”
The Arora Group was founded in 1999 as a specialist property, construction and hotel firm. Its Arora Hotels division encompasses a portfolio of more than 20 properties across the UK, predominantly clustered around airports, spanning more than 7,000 keys. These include Sofitel London Heathrow, Holiday Inn Heathrow Terminal 5, Fairmont Windsor Park and Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa, which is soon to undergo a major redevelopment into the group’s second luxury Fairmont property.
Terms of the deal to acquire Novotel London West were not disclosed.
