Atul Kochhar Restaurant Group appoints group operations director

Jatin Parmar has been appointed group operations director for Atul Kochhar Restaurant Group's UK sites, a new role for the company.

Parmar will oversee operations across existing venues including Hawkyns in Amersham, Indian Essence in Petts Wood, Kanishka in London's Mayfair, Masalchi in Wembley Park, Riwaz in Beaconsfield, and Vaasu and Sindhu in Marlow. He will also oversee Kochhar's new catering brand, Amod Events.

Before joining Atul Kochhar Restaurant Group, Parmar was general manager at the three-Michelin-starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, London.

A graduate of the Institute of Hotel Management in Mumbai, Parmar previously worked as assistant manager at the Fairmont St Andrews hotel, rising through the ranks to fine dining restaurant manager.

After almost seven years there, he went on to hold manager positions at venues such as Restaurant Sat Bains in Nottingham and L'Enclume in Cumbria. He was also restaurant director of Heston Blumenthal's three-Michelin-starred the Fat Duck in Bray, Berkshire, for two years, and worked at Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort in Darlington for two years, where he was food and beverage manager.

Atul Kochhar said: "We're thrilled to have Jatin on board. Not only does he have excellent experience, he's worked alongside some of the best chefs in the country and knows the UK hospitality industry inside out. He is passionate about the industry and the development of those working with him. His enthusiasm is contagious and I am confident he will inspire the whole team and be a real asset to the Atul Kochhar Restaurant Group."
