Ben Boeynaems appointed executive head chef of the Beaumont hotel

Ben Boeynaems has been appointed executive head chef of the Beaumont hotel in London's Mayfair.

Currently head chef of the Zetter Group of hotels, Boeynaems has previously worked with the Gordon Ramsay Group at Pétrus and Claridge's, under Éric Chavot at the Capital hotel and as head chef of the Goring, all in London. He takes the role over from Christian Turner.

The chef, who will be in charge of the Colony Grill, as well the Magritte bar, private dining and room service, said: "I am excited to be joining the Beaumont and feel my ingredient-led, seasonal and classic-based cooking style will be a perfect fit for the Colony's timeless menu of transatlantic favourites."

Boeynaems, who was a finalist in the National Chef of the Year 2020 competition, joins the five-AA-star, 73-bedroom hotel in mid-February.
