The new restaurant is due to open in Farringdon in late autumn with dishes inspired by the head chef’s grandmother
The team behind Camille in London’s Borough Market is set to open a second restaurant in central London later this year.
Restaurateurs Clare Lattin and Tom Hill, alongside founding head chef Elliot Hashtroudi, announced the news on Instagram.
The post said: “We are excited to announce a new restaurant opening from the team behind Camille. With a strong influence from Elliot’s grandmother, we will delve into old regional British and Irish cooking using ingredients from the Isles.”
The opening marks a departure from the French-inspired cooking that has defined Camille since it launched on Stoney Street in Borough Market in early 2024. Speaking to The Caterer last year, Hashtroudi said his passion for French cuisine had been shaped by childhood family holidays near Montpellier, as well as later trips to Normandy and Marseille.
The new restaurant is due to open in Farringdon in late autumn, marking a return to the area for Dorset-born chef, who spent his formative years cooking at nose-to-tail pioneer St John. He has also worked at restaurants including Padella in Borough Market and in Mayfair.
The Instagram post added: “We can’t wait to open the doors and celebrate the wonderful history of British and Irish cooking.”
