It comes nearly 11 years after KSL Capital Partners acquired the property for £70m
KSL Capital Partners has sold Cameron House on Loch Lomond to Victory Group in a deal thought to be worth £100m.
The Colorado-based private equity firm acquired the luxury resort from QHotels in a £70m transaction back in November 2015. Late last year, there was speculation of a sale.
The London-based Victory Group also owns the Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva, the largest five-star hotel in Switzerland, the Zudo project, a 207,000 sq m mixed-use urban redevelopment in Amsterdam’s Zuidas, and an office development on London’s Jermyn Street.
Victory revealed plans to enhance Cameron House through a series of wellness and experiential-led offerings.
Erik Moresco, founder of Victory Group, said: “This acquisition reflects our strong conviction in high-quality assets in attractive locations. Cameron House combines a setting of breathtaking beauty, heritage and luxury, with legendary Scottish hospitality. We are excited to be making our first acquisition in Scotland, and we continue to see the UK as a compelling investment market.”
Cameron House undertook a four-year renovation following a fire in 2017 which caused the death of two guests.
The property reopened in May 2021 after a £29.7m refurbishment, with the new Lomond Wing subsequently boosting capacity from 140 to 208 bedrooms – including 24 suites – and 700 sq m of flexible meetings and events space for up to 500 people.
Last year, Graeme Cheevers, the chef behind Glasgow’s Michelin-starred Unalome, opened a restaurant at Cameron House.
