Lima London founders' Venezuelan concept renamed Sabroso

The Lima London founders' Venezuelan restaurant concept launching in London's Westfield White City shopping centre next month will now be called Sabroso, instead of Caracas.

Restaurateurs Gabriel and Jose-Luis Gonzalez are set to open the new casual dining concept, named after the Spanish word for ‘tasty', on 21 October.

The menu will include arepa, a flat, disc-shaped cornbread stuffed with fillings such as shredded chicken with avocado, braised beef with cheese or black beans and plantain, plus vegan and vegetarian options.

Inspired by the arepa bars across Venezuela, Sabroso aims to recreate the fun, comforting and casual spirit of these bustling social hubs in the UK.

The pair opened Peruvian restaurant Lima London in Fitzrovia in 2012, followed by Covent Garden's Floral by Lima in 2014.
