Cateys 2026: Nominations are now open

This week The Caterer begins its search for the biggest talents and greatest brands in the hospitality industry as it launches the 2026 Cateys.

The Cateys, in partnership with Square, are acknowledged as the ‘Oscars’ of the hospitality industry. The awards return to JW Marriott Grosvenor House London on Tuesday 7 July 2026 for an unforgettable evening to honour and celebrate exceptional talent and pioneering businesses in hospitality.

The awards are the industry’s only truly independent benchmark of operational excellence, with entrants judged by their peers and industry experts.

The winners in each of the 24 categories, which include Best Marketing Campaign, Menu of the Year and Manager of the Year, represent the finest that the hotel, restaurant, foodservice and pub and bar industries have to offer.

“Sector icons”

When Chris Eigelaar was named Manager of the Year at the 2025 Cateys, he said the experience was “deeply humbling”.

The managing director at the Belfry Hotel & Resort added: “To be recognised alongside sector icons reminds me why I love hospitality: creating opportunities, giving back and helping others discover their potential. This honour fuels my commitment to make a difference every day in our industry.”

Meanwhile, Tim Spedding, joint owner and head chef at Flora, said receiving the “prestigious Catey” for Menu of the Year was “a wonderful recognition for our very rural restaurant”.

Judges praised the 50-cover Cornish restaurant for showcasing “amazing ingredients” and “cooking with creativity at incredible value for money”.
