Chef Eats Out: Kerridge's Bar and Grill, 20 January 2020 - Book your place!

Tom Kerridge is to host the first Chef Eats Out of 2020 at Kerridge's Bar and Grill in the Corinthia London hotel.

The lunch event for The Caterer readers, held in association with Udale Speciality Foods, will take place on 20 January 2020. Book your place now!

The restaurant from Tom Kerridge and head chef Nick Beardshaw opened in September 2018, offering refined comfort food in the sophisticated surrounds of Corinthia London. It has since been described as an "unmistakable blockbuster" offering "five star food" by Jimi Famurewa in the Evening Standard, while The Times' Giles Coren said it was "a place where you go for a Boss Lunch".

Guest will arrive for welcome drinks at the restaurant's bar, lined with real ales, before sitting down to a six-course menu of favourites from The Hand & Flowers, The Coach and Kerridge's Bar and Grill, hosted by Tom Kerridge and his team.

The menu created for the event will include classics such as the Coach mushroom risotto, salt cod scotch egg with chorizo and red pepper sauce, and treacle roasted fillet of beef.

The Chef Eats Out event, organised by The Caterer in partnership with Udale Speciality Foods, is restricted to 75 diners, who will have the chance to sample Kerridge's fantastic food among their peers.

Tom Kerridge said: "It has been an incredible first year at Kerridge's and the Chef Eats Out lunch will be a great opportunity to showcase what we're all about and impress our peers. The team will be serving the Classics Menu which highlights six of our favourite dishes from The Hand & Flowers, The Coach and Kerridge's."

Our sponsor: Udale Speciality Foods

Chef Eats Out provides diners with an exclusive opportunity to experience the culinary excellence of outstanding restaurants and chefs. We are delighted that the venue for the first Chef Eats Out of 2020 will be at Kerridge's Bar and Grill in the Corinthia London hotel.

Ian Udale, managing director of Udale Speciality Foods, says: "It is interesting to see how innovative chefs like Tom Kerridge use our meat to create fantastic-tasting dishes of refined comfort food. Different meats and poultry are aged for different periods of time in our Himalayan salt chambers. For example, beef is normally aged for up to 35-40 days, but we have a few chefs who like extreme aged beef that's 100 days plus. At Kerridge's Bar and Grill Tom Kerridge will be using an aged fillet of beef which will be treacle roasted, and we're excited to see how he presents this special product.

"Udale Speciality Foods aims to build an ongoing relationship with chefs by sponsoring Chef Eats Out events as we continue to show our commitment to the hospitality industry."
