Co-living company Vonder to debut hotel spin-off in London

Residential co-living company Vonder is about to launch a new venture in the hotel space, with two hotels in Earls Court and Paddington opening this summer.

The two hotels will offer 95 rooms across four buildings, with each room accommodating one to four people.

This will be Vonder's first move into a traditional hotel format after expanding its brand of co-living apartments to over 30 locations across London, Berlin and Dublin, with plans to launch in Dubai and the US soon.

Vonder Earls Court will open from May across three buildings, including 27-28 Philbeach Gardens with a capacity of 28 rooms, 109 Warwick Road with 19 rooms and 60 Warwick Road with 16 rooms. Guests will be able to use facilities from across all the buildings, including a café, gym and private communal gardens, which will host events such as yoga, music concerts and cinema nights, as and when Covid restrictions allow.

Vonder Paddington is located at 14 Devonshire Terrace, holding 22 rooms, and will launch in July.

Vonder plans to tap into the co-living experience it offers guests at its residential properties, with guests at the hotels able to book for both short- and long-term periods. Each hotel room features modern, colourful designs and have their own bathrooms, kitchenettes, TVs and access to highspeed Wifi. Vonder has also partnered with Rituals to provide guests with luxury toiletries.

The communal areas were designed by the upcoming British artist Jenny Beard, who was commissioned to create bright and bold murals across all buildings, which feature their own themed design.

"Hotels have evolved in recent years, and we have recognised a gap in the market where people are wanting to book for extended stays but not commit to long-term rental contracts. There is an opportunity for our hotels to provide a comfortable and safe temporary home for guests wanting to stay in London for longer periods of time, with access to great amenities and a diverse global community," said Vonder chief executive Tomer Bercoviz.

"During the pandemic, we have seen a growing global trend with hotels shifting their concept to extended stays. Our business venture works in parallel to this and alongside our wider co-living portfolio by providing more of a bespoke longer-stay solution to international travellers. London is a fantastic destination to be launching our first hotels, and we look forward to welcoming our first guests."
