Come Dine With Me seeking restaurants to take part in new professional format

Hit Channel 4 cooking show Come Dine With Me is launching a new format, Come Dine With Me – The Professionals, and is seeking restaurants to take part.

Filmed across the UK, the show will feature three restaurant duos comprising of at least one chef and another member of staff or owner battling it out across three nights. At the end of each dinner, each duo (apart from the hosts) will rate the meal on a scale of one to 20.

The scoring will be judged on food and drink, service, atmosphere and overall experience and each duo will be required to explain the reasoning behind their scoring.

At the end of the last meal, like on the original show, the host of that meal will receive the voting results and read this out to the other competitors. The duo with the highest score will win £1,000 for their restaurant. In the event of a tie, the £1,000 will be split between the winning restaurants.

Casting producer Sasha Risner said: "Considering the amazing variety of unique and delicious restaurants all over the UK there will be some hot competition in this show. We are looking for restaurant duos with bags of personality who are up for the challenge of winning £1,000 for their restaurant."

The only criteria is that participants are over 18 and work as a chef or member of staff in the restaurant they are representing.

Filming will take place in the restaurant during service and permission from the owner will be required for the restaurant to feature.
